In this masterclass, I've teamed up with architect Magda Stanescu from Unicreations to take you through how a kitchen is actually designed to work.
Magda brings the architectural thinking. I bring the day-to-day reality of how people use their spaces.
Together, we'll walk you through the decisions that shape your kitchen long before finishes or styling come into play. Placement, layout, movement. The fundamentals that determine whether a kitchen works consistently or becomes frustrating to use.
This session is about getting those decisions right from the start.
What You’ll Learn
This is the part most people only realise once they've built.
We break down how a kitchen is planned, from the very first brief to the final finishes. We’ll pay particular attention to the process, the mistakes, and the constraints.
You'll learn how to:

Understand the correct sequence of decisions — from measuring your space and designing your layout to choosing materials and ordering your kitchen — so nothing needs to be redone and no money is wasted.

identify the most common planning errors: a fridge that blocks your workflow, storage that doesn't match how you cook, lighting decided too late, and layouts copied from a kitchen that never worked in the first place

Read your space realistically, know what moving a kitchen actually involves structurally and financially, and make design decisions grounded in what's genuinely possible
You'll leave with a clear framework on how to review your plans, challenge assumptions, and make informed decisions, well before a single euro is spent.

(Architect & Interior Designer)
Magda Stanescu is an architect and the founder of Unicreations. With nearly two decades of experience, she began her career working on complex international projects, collaborating with names like Prada, Galeries Lafayette and Nhow Hotels.
Today, Magda specialises in creating unique, high-end homes. She guides her clients from the very first viewing to a fully turn-key result through her signature process, Full Design Care. Her work is rooted in understanding how people actually cook, gather, and live, translating those patterns into spaces that are as functional as they are beautiful.

Brielle Jones
(Interior Stylist & Organiser )
Brielle Jones is the founder of The Space Coach, specialising in organising, interior styling, and functional design.
Her work focuses on how spaces perform in day-to-day use, looking closely at where things land, where friction builds, and what slows people down. From there, she designs layouts and systems that reduce effort, improve flow, and make spaces easier to maintain.
In this workshop, she brings a practical lens to kitchen design, focusing on how the space works once you are living in it.
